Many people are building blogs now instead of websites; because of this many of them are asking they can get more traffic to my blog. This is something that really is not that hard.
Traffic is traffic on the internet. It doesn't matter if you have a website, a landing page, or a blog; you still want people to go there. This is especially true if you are dabbling in internet marketing and using any of the web pages for a product. Because the means of traffic on the internet do not really change, you can use these traffic techniques on any of the pages listed above.
Articles are a free and popular means of marketing and driving traffic to your sites. You can increase the effectiveness of the articles by using keywords that are related to your product and site. By doing this you are targeting your traffic, and that's the best kind to have. People that are typing in the keywords you are using are more likely to be looking for a product you have and are more likely to buy it when they find it. Another free method I use to get traffic to my blog is commenting on other blogs in my niche. I leave intelligent comments and leave a link to my pages there. Any one can do this though it is more effective if you make pertinent comments instead of just saying things like "nice blog". You can also use some paid methods of traffic like pay-per-clicks. With these you are more likely to advertise the product instead of the whole site.
There is one form that you can use with just blogs and that's Trackback links. You use these when you quote another blog on yours. Trackback lets the other person know that you posted a comment about their blog, and the best part; they now have a link on their blog that leads right to yours. Making comments on a regular basis is another great way for me to get traffic to my blog.
